Enhanced Studio Emulation with Dynamic Room Modeling Technology
Universal Audio has released Ocean Way Studios Deluxe, an expanded version of its studio emulation plugin. The plugin models Ocean Way Studios' historic Studio A and Studio B recording spaces, designed by Bill Putnam Sr., along with the facility's original reverb chambers and analog equipment.
Dynamic Room Modeling
Ocean Way Studios Deluxe uses Universal Audio's Dynamic Room Modeling technology to recreate the studio's acoustic environments. Users can place audio sources inside Studio A or Studio B, adding the ambience heard on recordings from artists including Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Radiohead, and Beck.
The plugin includes models of three Bill Putnam Sr.-designed reverb chambers. These chambers provide depth for vocals and strings or extended tails for drums.

Analog Console and Outboard Gear
The plugin models Ocean Way's Dalcon and original Rupert Neve-designed Focusrite consoles. Included outboard gear emulations feature Fairchild, Teletronix LA-2A, 1176, and dbx 160 compressors from the studio's control room.
Re-Mic Capabilities
Ocean Way Studios Deluxe includes re-miking setups using models of UREI 813 coaxial monitors and Altec A-2 theatre cabinets. Users can re-capture processed signals with emulations from Allen Sides' microphone collection.
The plugin features updated retina graphics, a redesigned interface, curated presets, and flexible routing options.
Pricing and Compatibility
Ocean Way Studios Deluxe is priced at $249 and includes the original Ocean Way Studios plugin for Apollo and UAD hardware. The plugin runs natively on macOS and Windows, or accelerated on Apollo audio interfaces and UAD Accelerators.
