Spectral Manipulation and Resynthesis Engine for Sound Design
Sugar Bytes releases Transfigure, a sound design plugin that transforms audio into dynamic sonic landscapes through spectral manipulation and resynthesis. The plugin features an intuitive XY pad interface for simultaneous parameter control and expressive automation.
Spectral Processing Engine
Transfigure's spectral engine operates in the frequency domain to manipulate specific frequency ranges with precision. Users can freeze sounds in place or delay individual frequency bands to create evolving textures. The engine includes detailed control options for adjusting particular frequency ranges, enabling everything from delicate textures to complex sound design.
The spectral processing allows for precise stereo field placement of specific frequencies and offers extensive sound design possibilities through well-crafted algorithms.
Resynthesis Technology
The resynthesis engine analyzes input signals to detect pitch content, then generates new audio using an internal sound engine. Results can closely match the original source or create completely transformed sounds. The engine includes a wide selection of standard and unique scales for creating complex musical progressions.
The resynthesis engine performs particularly well with non-harmonic input like drum loops, generating rich harmonic content from rhythmic sources.
Comprehensive Effects Suite
Transfigure includes two general-purpose effect slots featuring delay, reverb, phaser, filter with drive section, capture, and looper effects. All parameters integrate with the modulation system for dynamic results, with XY pad connectivity enabling multiple parameter access for signature sound creation.
Cross-Platform Compatibility
The plugin supports Audio Unit, VST2, VST3, AAX, and standalone formats for macOS 10.13 and higher, and Windows 7 and higher. Sugar Bytes provides 64-bit versions for both Windows and Mac platforms, including Intel and Apple Silicon compatibility.
Transfigure includes an extensive preset library for immediate creative inspiration across various musical and sound design applications.
More information about Transfigure is available on the Sugar Bytes website.
