[Monthly Mixing] Icelandic music production app 'Overtune' has partnered with TikTok's music distribution model SoundOn.
Through this partnership, Overtune's paid users can now directly release songs created in Overtune through SoundOn on the app.
Jason Daði Guðjónsson, co-founder of Overtune, said, "The integration with SoundOn perfectly aligns with the changing music industry," adding, "Overtune is helping artists respond to these changes by providing tools for music creation, sharing, and monetization."
Launched in 2020, Overtune is an app that allows users to create music that can be used on content platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube by combining beats and samples with a simple smartphone interface and then recording vocals.
Overtune recently raised $2 million in seed funding and continues to develop, including the development of artificial intelligence features. Recently, it added an AI feature that allows users to apply vocal filters that mimic the voices of public figures such as Donald Trump and Morgan Freeman, as well as fictional characters like Marge Simpson.
