The MLC S_Zero 93, a digital recreation of Dimmu Borgir guitarist Silenoz's signature amplifier, delivers extreme metal tones with uncompromising clarity and power. This virtual amplifier brings the Norwegian black metal icon's sound to producers and guitarists worldwide.
Versatile Channel Architecture
The amplifier features three distinct channels, each serving a specific tonal purpose. The clean channel provides thick, crystal-clear tones ideal for ambient effects, while two high-gain channels offer different flavors of distortion. Channel 2 delivers organic, gnarly gain with excellent definition, and Channel 3 refines this character with added aggression and tightness.
A unique feature of the plugin version allows users to switch between 6L6 and KT88 power amp tubes per channel, expanding beyond the capabilities of the hardware counterpart.
Comprehensive Effects Suite
The S_Zero 93 comes equipped with studio-grade effects, including the Fascination Street Octave for dual-octave processing and multiple overdrive options through the MLC Brown Sugar and Fascination Street OVD-2 pedals. The package also includes a classic studio EQ, delay, and reverb processors for complete tone shaping.
Advanced Cabinet Simulation
The plugin incorporates IRDX (Impulse Response Dynamix) technology, developed by producer Jens Bogren. This machine learning-based system adds dynamic speaker behavior to static impulse responses, resulting in more responsive and natural cabinet emulation. Users can load custom IRs and control mic placement with precision.
Creative Tools
The standalone version includes built-in recording capabilities, a metronome, and a tuner, making it a comprehensive practice and production tool. The plugin comes with presets crafted by notable artists from bands like Behemoth, Emperor, Mayhem, and Napalm Death.
