London Acoustics Buenos Aires EQ: Program-Based Parallel Equalizer

London Acoustics Buenos Aires EQ: Program-Based Parallel Equalizer - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

Classic High-Frequency Processing with Analog Character

London Acoustics releases Buenos Aires EQ, a program-based parallel equalizer designed for high-frequency spectrum control in mastering and sound design applications. The plugin operates on Acustica Audio's VVK Technology through the DEW format platform.

Focused High-Frequency Processing

Buenos Aires EQ features two primary bands: a Spot band with +12dB gain and variable frequency control in the mid-highs, and a Definition band with +12dB gain targeting the high frequencies. The plugin includes a custom solid-state analog circuit HYPER preamp that adds analog character even at zero gain settings.

The equalizer offers Linked, M/S, and Master 1/2 mode selectors for flexible routing options, along with an output peak VU meter LED for visual feedback.

DEW Technology Platform

The plugin utilizes Acustica Audio's DEW format, representing third-party development within the Acustica ecosystem. DEW plugins share the same VVK Technology and Hyper Engine architecture as core Acustica products while allowing independent developers creative freedom.

Buenos Aires EQ installs directly through the Aquarius application and maintains compatibility with Acustica's advanced sampling processes and quality standards.

Applications and Compatibility

London Acoustics recommends the plugin for mastering top-end sculpting, vocal and acoustic guitar processing, piano saturation, bass enhancement, and ribbon microphone recording treatment. The equalizer also serves specialized functions for hi-hat and snare processing and send/return reverb treatment.

The plugin supports VST2/3, AU, and AAX formats in 64-bit configurations at 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz sample rates. Compatibility extends to Windows 10-11 and macOS Catalina through Sonoma on Intel, AMD, and ARM M processors.

Buenos Aires EQ is available for €56 (regular price €80).
