Lewitt Releases 'RAY,' a Real-Time Distance Measurement Microphone Based on Sensors



Lewitt has introduced its first microphone utilizing sensor-based distance measurement technology, called 'RAY.'

Based on Lewitt's best-selling condenser microphone, the LCT 440 PURE, RAY features the 'AURA' technology, continuously measuring the distance between the microphone and the user.

This enables users to adjust the volume and tone optimized for the microphone's performance in real-time, making it suitable for various recording applications such as podcasts, content creation, live streaming, and music production.

The 'MUTE by Distance' feature automatically mutes the signal when the user moves away from the microphone. Alternatively, users can manually mute the microphone by pressing the MUTE button.

Maintaining the quality based on the LCT 440 PURE, RAY boasts a 1-inch true condenser studio capsule, cardioid polar pattern, self-noise level of 8 dB(A), maximum SPL of 131 dBSPL, gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector, and 100% analog signal path.

Designed with user-friendliness in mind, the microphone's size is minimized to ensure that creators' faces are not obstructed by it during recordings.
