Leapwing Audio Releases UltraVox 2 with Enhanced Vocal Processing - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

Six-Algorithm Plugin Adds New De-Esser and Updated Interface

Leapwing Audio has released UltraVox 2, an updated version of its vocal processing plugin. The new release includes six algorithms designed for recording, production, and mixing workflows: Reverb, De-Esser, Compression, Gate, Harmonics, and Air.

New De-Esser Algorithm

Version 2 introduces a newly developed De-esser that uses frequency analysis to control sibilants. The algorithm works alongside the existing compression and gate functions to manage vocal dynamics.

Core Processing Features

The Compression algorithm uses a single-band soft-knee compressor with program-dependent attack and release times. The Gate function addresses room noise and mouth sounds with variable attack and release parameters.

Harmonics processing adds second and third-order harmonics to the vocal signal. The Air section provides equalization around 12kHz with both boost and cut capabilities for tonal adjustment.

Updated Interface

UltraVox 2 features a redesigned Retina interface with all controls accessible on a single screen. The visual layout displays parameter adjustments in real time.

Pricing and Availability

UltraVox 2 is available for $79 ($39 until December 8th, 2025). The update is free for existing users, with original serial keys authenticating the new version. The plugin supports Mac OSX 10.13 and later (M1-native), Windows 8 and 10 (64-bit) in AAX-Native, VST3, and AU formats. A 30-day trial version is available.
