Mix-Ready MIDI Drum Instrument Recorded in Custom Drum Room
Ingram Audio Co has released Drum Daddy Lite, a free MIDI drum plugin featuring the Daddy Kit mix preset from the full Drum Daddy Producer Kit. The plugin delivers pre-mixed drum sounds designed for rock and pop punk production.
Recording Environment
The samples were recorded in Ingram Audio Co's custom-built drum room, used for productions by Beartooth and Hawthorne Heights. The space was designed for capturing drum tone with emphasis on overhead and room microphone positions. Each sample includes multiple microphone perspectives recorded in the same acoustic environment.
Mix-Ready Processing
Drum Daddy Lite provides pre-processed drum sounds requiring no additional mixing. The plugin eliminates fader adjustments and processing chains, delivering completed drum tones through a single preset. The Daddy Kit preset represents one configuration from the full Producer Kit library.
E-Kit Integration
The plugin supports electronic drum kit connectivity through customizable MIDI mapping. Users can adjust the MIDI map to match their hardware setup and save custom configurations for future sessions. The mapping system accommodates various e-kit manufacturers and layouts.
Technical Specifications
Drum Daddy Lite operates through the free Kontakt Player from Native Instruments. The plugin requires 4GB RAM and 3GB hard drive space for the Producer Kit library, plus 1GB for Kontakt Player. It supports macOS 10.12-10.14 and Windows 7-10 with Intel i5 or equivalent processors.
Availability
Drum Daddy Lite is available as a free download through email registration. The plugin runs on the Kontakt platform and is compatible with all Native Instruments software.
