Advanced Software Synthesizer Expands Sound Design Capabilities

Arturia Releases Pigments 6 with New Modal Synthesis Engine - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

Arturia has unveiled Pigments 6, enhancing their flagship software synthesizer with a new Modal synthesis engine and expanded sound design capabilities. The update further strengthens Pigments' position as a comprehensive sound design workstation, now featuring six distinct synthesis engines.

Advanced Synthesis Architecture

The synthesizer combines Modal, Granular, Wavetable, Sample, Harmonic, and Virtual Analog engines, allowing up to three simultaneous engines per patch. Each engine can be processed through dual morphing filters and an extensive effects section featuring 19 high-quality algorithms including Shimmer Reverb and Multiband Compression.

Streamlined Workflow

Pigments 6 maintains its intuitive, color-coded interface with drag-and-drop modulation routing and real-time visual feedback. The interface provides clear visualization of modulation sources and signal flow, allowing users to focus on creative sound design without technical barriers.

Extensive Sound Library

The instrument ships with over 1,600 factory presets showcasing its sonic capabilities across various musical styles. The preset library spans from acoustic-like tones to experimental sound design textures, complemented by the new Modal engine's physical modeling capabilities.
