apulSoft releases Opalize, a harmonic enhancement plugin that generates specific harmonics within chosen frequency ranges while preserving original signal integrity. The plugin adds second through fifth harmonics independently of input level, providing precision harmonic control beyond traditional waveshaping methods.
Advanced Harmonic Generation
Opalize processes up to four parallel frequency bands simultaneously, with one band capable of tracking monophonic fundamental frequencies for real-time filter adjustment. The plugin generates even-order harmonics without DC-offset issues and includes low-pass and band-pass filters for isolating fundamental tones.
The core DSP algorithm, developed by J. Budweiser and engineered by apulSoft, works optimally with monophonic or bandpassed signals while delivering effective results on broadband material.
Intuitive Interface Design
The plugin features a smooth frequency analyzer display showing harmonic stacking per frequency, with direct frequency band creation and editing on the analyzer interface. Users can adjust harmonic content with minimal latency through phase-matched processing modes.
Opalize includes unlimited undo/redo functionality and built-in system-wide preset management with cross-platform XML file compatibility.
Comprehensive Format Support
The plugin supports AudioUnits, AAX, and VST3 formats on macOS 10.13 and newer (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 and newer (x64). AAX compatibility requires Pro Tools 11 or higher.
