MPE-Compatible Electric Piano with 100 Expressive Presets
Applied Acoustics Systems and Expressive E have launched Lounge Lizard Expressive Suite, adding MIDI Polyphonic Expression support to the classic electric piano plugin. The suite includes 100 MPE presets designed for expressive performance controllers.
Dual Physical Modeling
Lounge Lizard combines tine and reed-based physical modeling engines, calculating every component of vintage 1970s electric pianos in real time. Tine models deliver crystalline, mellow, and warmly expressive tones. Reed models provide punchy, gritty, organic character.
MPE Expression
The "Electric Expressions" preset bank responds to velocity, aftertouch, and per-note bending, enabling nuanced control over each note. Presets work with all MPE controllers including Osmose and Seaboard, with particular optimization for Expressive E's Osmose keybed.
Interface and Compatibility
The redesigned interface and browser enable faster control. Lounge Lizard Expressive Suite supports AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX formats on macOS 11+ and Windows 10+. Online activation allows multiple installations for single users.
Pricing and Availability
For existing Lounge Lizard owners, the Expressive Suite costs €99.50 (regularly €199). New users can purchase both the plugin and preset pack for €99.50. Offer valid through November 19.
