A Streamlined Take on Program Equalizer Design
Analog Obsession's POORTEC removes the conventional SRPP gain stage and inductors, implementing a Fairchild-style line amplifier for signal amplification after the passive EQ stage.
The plugin features carefully crafted low and high-frequency controls, with a shelf-shaped high boost and cut. A notable addition is the trimpot (TP) on the gain stage circuit, which allows users to add extra drive to the signal after setting the unity level at 20dB.
The interface supports resizing from 50% to 200%, controlled via a bottom corner handle. Essential controls include a clean master output and a prominent red bypass button.
