AMS Neve Introduces 1073SPX‑D, Combining Legendary 1073 Preamp with Audio Interface Functionality



In the latest issue of Mixing Monthly, AMS Neve has unveiled the all-in-one audio interface 1073SPX‑D, which combines the legendary 1073 preamp with a 192kHz/24-bit AD/DA converter.

The 1073SPX‑D features the classic 1073 preamp and equalizer, supporting 1 analog input and 8 ADAT inputs, as well as 4 analog outputs and 8 ADAT outputs.

The front panel is equipped with various control features for interface functionality. Alongside rear panel output level controls, there's a blend control for mixing direct signals with DAW audio, and a dedicated level control for the built-in headphone amp.

Users can supply input from various sources, and internal routing allows for using DAW channel strips as hardware inserts. Additionally, two inserts enable connection to additional analog gear.

The rear panel includes a BNC word clock input and a USB-B socket for interface connectivity, while two Toslink connectors provide bidirectional ADAT expandability.
