Alesis has unveiled their latest electronic drum kit, the Strata Prime, which incorporates the acclaimed sound samples of the renowned drum virtual instrument, BFD.
The standout feature of the Strata Prime lies in its utilization of the BFD virtual instrument engine, renowned for its natural and lifelike drum sounds. Users can intuitively navigate, edit, mix, and customize sounds through the touchscreen interface.
Featuring 40 playable zones on the drum kit, users can assign various sounds to each trigger area. For instance, it's possible to trigger a cowbell sound when striking the rim of the snare.
The ARC cymbals on the Strata Prime respond across a full 360 degrees, enabling playability from any angle. Similarly, the hi-hat responds with extreme sensitivity across its 360-degree playing surface.
The device boasts 75 drum kits, over 440 kit pieces, over 1,000 sound articulations, and more than 215,000 individual samples, totaling over 40GB of content. The overall storage capacity amounts to 128GB.
Additionally, the product includes four sound libraries from BFD Drums, along with a complimentary 90-day online lesson subscription from Drumeo.
