Stagecraft Software Releases Disarray XY Effects Controller - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

KAOSS Pad-Inspired Plugin Enables Multi-Parameter Control Across Effect Chains

Stagecraft Software has introduced Disarray, an XY effects controller plugin inspired by KAOSS pad hardware. The plugin allows real-time control of multiple effect parameters across a two-dimensional interface for live performance and studio production.

Control System

Disarray maps up to 8 parameters across 4 effects simultaneously to XY space using radial or linear mapping. Users can trigger effects on contact or freeze them for static processing while manipulating parameters. The interface supports touch-based control and MIDI controller integration, including iPad compatibility.

Effect Hosting

The plugin includes all Stagecraft effects as pre-loaded options. Disarray also functions as a plugin host, allowing users to load third-party effects and control them through the XY interface. This hosting capability operates even when Disarray runs as a plugin within a DAW.

Modulation and Automation

Internal quantization, modulation, and automation can be applied to any parameter. These features add movement to the XY space, creating programmed paths that execute during performance. The automation system integrates with the plugin's touch-based control scheme.

Preset System

Disarray connects to Stagecraft's online preset library, which includes user contributions and factory presets. The factory presets demonstrate different control configurations and modulation options across organized preset packs.

Availability

Disarray is available for $85 with a 30-day trial period requiring registration. The plugin supports macOS and Windows systems in standard plugin formats.
