Halloween-Themed Tube Saturation Plugin with Dual-Mode Distortion
Aurora DSP has released Nosferatu, a Halloween edition preamp plugin designed for high-gain tube saturation. The plugin features a dual-mode preamp system with Main Drive and Boost Mode options.
Preamp and Power Amp Design
The Main Drive delivers thick, aggressive distortion with classic high-gain characteristics. Boost Mode adds additional voltage for enhanced bite and intensity. The tube power amp section includes Presence and Resonance controls for shaping attack response.
Cabinet Simulation
Nosferatu includes cab simulation with two distinct voicings. The tonal range covers tight modern metal tones as well as heavier sludge-oriented sounds.
Built-in Utility Features
The plugin comes with several practical tools:
- Tuner, recorder, and metronome for tracking sessions
- Transpose control for tuning adjustments without hardware changes
- GateMate noise gate for signal management
- Studio environment listening option
- Full MIDI compatibility for hardware integration
Preset System
A preset system allows users to store and recall tones. The interface provides quick access to saved configurations.
