SSL Acoustifier: D.I.-to-Mic Simulation Plugin for Acoustic Guitar - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

Studio-Quality Acoustic Tone from Direct Input Signals

Solid State Logic has released Acoustifier, a D.I.-to-mic simulation plugin that transforms dry acoustic guitar signals into studio-quality recordings. The plugin emulates dual-microphone setups with four guitar body models and three classic microphone types.

Guitar and Microphone Modeling

Acoustifier matches input signals to four acoustic guitar body types: two dreadnought variations, jumbo/large body, and concert/orchestra models. Three microphone options—dynamic, condenser, and ribbon—are available in XY and spaced pair configurations. Body and neck microphone signals blend to create authentic stereo recordings.

Integrated Processing

A built-in SSL EQ features a tilt band for quick tonal shifts, high-pass and low-pass filters, and three customizable mid bands with real-time frequency analysis. Onboard reverb offers Room, Chamber, Plate, and Hall algorithms with reverb ducking to maintain performance clarity. An integrated compressor provides dynamic control with auto-gain and parallel blending options.

Features and Modes

HQ mode enables intelligent oversampling for higher quality output. Reverb can be placed post-compression for additional control. The compressor supports placement before or after reverb processing.

Pricing and Availability

Acoustifier is on sale for $49 (regularly $99). A 14-day free trial requires iLok account authorization. SSL plug-in subscription costs $14.99/month.
