Recorded with renowned Scottish bodhrán player Callum Convoy, this latest addition to the VAULTS series delivers both traditional and contemporary percussion possibilities.
Authentic Sound and Modern Features
The library offers velocity-sensitive performance across two distinct playing modes. White keys trigger tempo-synced accent grooves, while black keys provide access to multi-sampled hits spanning the instrument's tonal range. The recordings utilized high-end Neumann microphones, including TLM103s and KLM184s, to capture the bodhrán's natural resonance and character.
Intuitive Controls for Sound Shaping
VAULTS - SOLO BODHRÁN features a straightforward interface with essential controls for sound manipulation. The RHYTHM dial switches between simple and complex groove patterns, while DISTANCE blends close and room microphone positions. Additional processing options include CRUSH distortion, SQUEEZE multi-band compression, ECHO stereo delay, and SPLOSH reverb for spatial enhancement.
