Advanced Transient Manipulation with Independent Attack and Release Processing
Analog Obsession has introduced ATTRACTOR, a dynamic processor that transcends traditional transient shaping. Unlike conventional transient shapers that simply adjust attack and sustain characteristics, ATTRACTOR splits the incoming audio into attack and release components for independent processing chains.
Each segment features its own dedicated EQ, compression, and saturation controls, offering possibilities far beyond standard transient manipulation. While it can achieve similar results to traditional transient shapers, ATTRACTOR's dual-chain architecture opens up a vastly expanded range of sonic possibilities.
The processor provides +/-12dB low and high frequency adjustment at 120Hz and 8kHz respectively for each section. The compression stage includes intelligent auto-gain and timing features, while the saturation module adds harmonic content with automatic gain compensation. A mix control allows for parallel processing capabilities, blending the processed signal with the original.
The interface features a resizable GUI that scales from 50% to 200%, adapting to various screen resolutions through a simple corner handle. Users can save their preferred size settings as a default preset for consistent workflow across multiple instances.
