Eplex7 DSP Introduces Equelectrium EQA-1: A New Approach to Digital Equalization - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

Eplex7 DSP has released Equelectrium EQA-1, a VST equalizer plugin that brings a unique approach to digital audio processing. Drawing inspiration from natural equilibrium systems and the Golden Ratio (Sectio Aurea), this equalizer aims to address common issues found in digital EQ processing.

Natural Sound Processing

The Equelectrium EQA-1 employs proprietary Sectio Aurea technology to maintain tonal balance while reducing the harsh digital artifacts often associated with traditional digital equalizers. This approach helps preserve natural-sounding transients and smoother high frequencies, particularly noticeable during mastering at higher volumes.

Key Features

The plugin offers comprehensive frequency control with specialized bands for precise sound shaping. The high-frequency air band operates from 8 to 19kHz, while the bass frequency band covers 40 to 350 Hz. Two independent cut circuits provide additional control over frequency attenuation from 70 Hz to 19 kHz.

An analog drive control allows users to add transistor-based warmth and saturation, simulating the behavior of hardware transformers. Input and output controls provide additional flexibility in signal management.
