PSP Wobbler: A Faithful Recreation of Pink Floyd's Iconic Modulation Effect - AUDIO PLUGIN NEWS

Historic Audio Effect Plugin Recreates Legendary 'Dark Side of the Moon' Sound

PSP Wobbler brings the unique modulation effect from Pink Floyd's "Time" to modern audio production. Developed in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Alan Parsons, this plugin recreates the sound of the original Frequency Translator, a custom-built device that helped shape the iconic album's distinctive sound.

Advanced Modulation Features

The plugin employs frequency shifting technology to generate non-harmonic phase differences, creating a distinctive wobble effect that combines elements of phasing, flanging, and rotary speaker characteristics. Users can control the frequency shift up to ±25 Hz, with options for manual adjustment or DAW tempo synchronization.

Enhanced Control and Flexibility

PSP Wobbler expands upon the original hardware's capabilities with modern features including Drive and Ageing controls for authentic saturation, thermal and voltage Drift parameters, and adjustable Phase and stereo Spread controls. Two EQ filters allow precise control over the effect's frequency range.

Alan Parsons, the legendary producer behind the original effect, notes: "I have been proud to help PSP develop this amazing new plug-in which emulates some of the effects I used on The Dark Side Of The Moon."
