Bad Pianos That Sound Great
DRIFT FREE captures the unique character of flawed pianos in a 700MB sample library. The collection features genuine noise, uneven notes, and natural sound variations that give it a distinctive personality.
The library includes an intuitive interface with four main controls for shaping the sound. The Grist knob adds noise textures, while morphing EQ and ADSR controls offer 100 presets each. The Space control incorporates 50 custom reverb responses.
Performance features include BPM-synced effects for tape-like modulation and volume control. Players can use the modwheel for additional expression and choose between polyphonic, monophonic, and legato modes.
The base library includes a multi-sampled piano with modwheel control, aftertouch for pitch bending, and various play modes. An optional 60REWIRES upgrade ($10/€10/£10) adds themed snapshots across six categories, expanding the sonic possibilities.
