Four Masterfully Sampled Solo Instruments with Unprecedented Articulation Control
Orchestral Tools has unveiled Berlin Solo Strings, a professional-grade virtual instrument library featuring meticulously sampled solo violin I, violin II, viola, and cello recordings. The library combines exceptional playability with comprehensive articulation control, designed for composers seeking authentic solo string expression.
The library's standout feature is its three distinct playing styles, each offering dedicated legato transitions and vibrato control. The expressive articulation set delivers emotional intensity for leading melodic passages, while the cinematic set provides versatility for general scoring. For more delicate passages, the sul tasto articulation set offers nuanced subtlety.
Each instrument comes equipped with up to 27 articulations, ensuring consistent performance across all four solo instruments. The comprehensive articulation set includes FX sustains, three marcato variations, staccato, spiccato, and pizzicato. A dedicated dynamics and ornaments folder provides swells, repetitions, tremolo, and measured trills with five interval options.
Recorded at the renowned Teldex Scoring Stage in Berlin, the library features eight microphone positions for precise mix control. The instruments were captured in situ, allowing them to blend seamlessly with other Berlin Series libraries while maintaining their distinct solo characteristics.
