German audio equipment manufacturer Elysia introduces the headphone amplifier 'xpector' as a new product in their qube series.
The qube series features Elysia's analog hardware reborn as '500 series' analog modules in a 'cube' form factor, characterized by their small size and light weight.
The xpector is equipped with two high-quality Class-A headphone amplifiers and provides two stereo input sources with various routing and EQ functions.
The front panel is divided into engineer and artist sections. Each section has level controls for two stereo inputs (Direct and DAW) and output level control. The artist section additionally features a 2-band shelving EQ. The engineer section offers various listening modes (stereo, mid, side, left, right) and a ±12dB trim dial.
Headphone outputs are available on both front and rear panels, and DAW and Direct signals can be routed to other equipment. Two balanced XLR outputs allow sending the engineer section mix to speakers.
However, unlike Elysia's existing 500 series modules, the xpector is only available in the qube format and is not compatible with other 500 series racks.
The xpector is priced at 1,099 euros and is scheduled for release in August. More details can be found on the Elysia website.
