D16 Group has introduced 'Nithonat 2', a reincarnation of the classic TR-606 drum machine as a state-of-the-art software synthesizer.
Known for its sound that symbolizes the 80s, the TR-606, one of the TR drum machine series, has been revived with modern controls and interface while preserving its classic sound texture.
It features the TR-606's intense and metallic kick, uniquely textured snare, and distinctive tom and hi-hat sounds, instantly adding a retro feel to tracks.
Beat creation has become easier thanks to an intuitive sequencer. New pattern ideas can also be easily obtained through randomization features.
It can be conveniently used in conjunction with DAWs through MIDI drag and drop functionality. Each drum kit has a dedicated channel strip with EQ and compression that can be applied individually, allowing for detailed sound adjustments.
Nithonat 2 includes two FX effect chains, enabling additional spatial, saturation, dynamics, and EQ adjustments that were not available in the original hardware. Another feature is the ability to easily process the overall sound in a modern way using the multiband compressor and limiter in the master section.
Additionally, rich presets, patterns, and a MIDI map editor allow for customization to suit user environments.
Currently, Nithonat 2 is on sale through ADSR Sounds until July 6th. It can be purchased at a discounted price of $69, down from the regular price of $119.
