This new release marks a significant shift in focus from its predecessor, opting for a more intimate and detailed sound by recording a 21-piece chamber strings ensemble in the legendary EastWest Studio 2.
The library boasts a comprehensive range of articulations, including legato, detache, pizzicato, staccato, spiccato, marcato, col legno, and even the ethereal flautando. Each articulation is available in up to four dynamic layers, from the softest pianissimo to the most robust fortissimo, providing composers with an unprecedented level of expressiveness and realism.
What sets Hollywood Strings 2 apart is the meticulous attention to detail in the recording process. The instruments were close-mic'd to capture every nuance, offering three separate close mic positions, in addition to main, mid-field, and surround mics.
